AUSTIN, TX -- April 13, 2005 --AMD (NYSE: AMD) today announced plans for a new campus for local design and administrative functions to be developed at the Lantana property in Southwest Austin. AMD currently operates 12 buildings in Austin. By creating a single campus at Lantana, where 58 percent of AMD’s local employees live within a 10 mile radius, AMD will improve efficiency and reduce employee commutes by more than 10,000 vehicle miles per day.
