Spansion Improves Automotive Power Train...

 
Detroit, MI -- October 18, 2004 --Spansion LLC, the Flash memory subsidiary of Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (NYSE: AMD) and Fujitsu Limited (TSE: 6702), today at Convergence 2004 announced it has added a faster, higher density model to its top-selling automotive Floating Gate Flash memory product line. This new 32Mbit burst-mode, simultaneous read/write NOR Flash memory device uses a 32-bit bus to reach frequencies as high as 75 MHz to deliver the fastest memory data throughput for next-generation engine control units (ECUs). The burst mode Flash “gluelessly” interfaces with most high-speed microcontrollers to enable optimum engine performance, fuel efficiency, and meet stringent environmental requirements.
