London, UK - December 11, 2006 - Channel 4, a terrestrial public service broadcaster, has selected Cape Clear® Software, the Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) Platform leader, as the integration platform to power its new PC-based Video-on-Demand (VOD) services. As the first broadcaster to launch a comprehensive video-on-demand service, Channel 4 has delivered an ESB Platform deployment which will scale to manage over a quarter-of-a-million digital assets. The rapid delivery of this project, utilizing a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), using only a small internal development team demonstrates the proven performance of an ESB Platform-approach to enable SOA.
