Roxio Dominates Retail in 2009

 
Santa Clara, California (February 2, 2010) – Roxio°, a division of Sonic Solutions° (NASDAQ: SNIC), today announced its consumer software applications were number one in U.S. retail in 2009. According to NPD Group figures, which track retail sell-through in North America, Roxio applications gained market share over the previous year and once again lead the category in terms of units and revenue at 48% and 57% respectively*. Roxio's retail leadership was propelled by solid performances for new versions of its flagship digital media applications, Roxio Creator° and Toast°, the success of new product introductions such as Roxio Easy VHS to DVD, and its marketing collaboration with Microsoft during the launch of Windows 7.
